Artist

Name is Marilyne, 19 years old. I'm a very simple person. I try to stay open-minded, especially when it comes to artistic stuff. I don't think any creation can be categorized as good or bad, everything that was created with an artistic purpose is, in my opinion, a success - because art is about experiments and evolution, not competition nor comparison. Everyone has to start somewhere and the first steps are always the hardest. Hopefully, I'll be able to help those of you who are beginners a bit :) And maybe I'll collect some of your tips myself ;)

On a more personal note, my interest in fanart comes mostly from tv shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Supernatural, Dark Angel, Roswell, Gossip Girl, etc. And Music. Music is one of my most powerful muses, it's stunning what lyrics can bring to an art piece. I've also been strongly influenced by some books, like the Twilight saga by Stephenie Meyer. Photography is also one of my big inspirations.

You can find all of the artwork I did for the last 2-3 years at my portfolio, Shadow of the Day. I also offer some artistic resources such as textures, gradients, brushes and stocks that could be useful :)
